Testimonials

My physical therapist Tanner Crass has been such a God send. He was able to fit me into his schedule as soon as my insurance would allow. The convenience of having him come to my home personally and not having to drive in the condition I was in or wait for someone to drive me; then, the hassle of looking for parking at a facility would have been an added stress. The comfort of being at home and having my therapy sessions is an added bonus. Tanner explains the mechanics of the body in the easiest to understand terms. Tanners' ability to adapt exercises with my home setting was genius. His recommendations for continual exercises has helped to keep the pain at bay as I go about my daily routine. If you are in need of an excellent physical therapist Tanner goes above and beyond providing the best care possible. His excellent bedside manners and knowledge will help you to alleviate your discomfort in a timely fashion. You will be blessed.

I have been running long distances consistently now for about a year. Prior to that I had experience running as I would go for casual daily runs but not usually longer than 4.5 miles. I signed up for the 2023 Honolulu Marathon in May of 2023. To prepare for that my training rapidly increased. Not being a super experienced long-distance runner I probably jumped into it all a bit too quickly and neglected some important training elements like strength training, mobility, and stretching to keep my body healthy. In September during a 16-mile long run, my knee felt almost unbearable pain that caused me to walk (limp) the last mile or so. I took some time off and tried googling some PT exercises along with doing some stretching/icing. I slowly got back into it, but again felt terrible pain when I attempted another 16-mile long run in November (I met Tanner shortly before this run). Although he had just run 20 miles himself, he immediately offered to take a look at me and try to figure out what the cause of my pain was. Ultimately he came to the conclusion that it was an IT band issue causing pain in my knee. I began doing physical therapy with him 2-3 days a week for the 3-4 weeks leading up to the marathon in December. He came to my house and helped with some massage work as well as demonstrating and walking me through a series of exercises to help strengthen my hips and the areas around my knee. I implemented these exercises daily on my own and continued to add new exercises to the routine as I continued to meet with Tanner. I ended up running the marathon on December 10th and was not terribly far off my goal time despite taking so much time off leading up to the race. I have Tanner to thank for this, as I ran with no knee pain (everything hurts when you run a marathon) but I truly would not have been able to run the distance without terrible pain if I did not have PT with Tanner for those 3-4 weeks leading up! Totally recommend him to anyone dealing with pain and wanting to get back to their active lifestyle. I still do all of the exercises 1-2 times per week for maintenance and have been continuing to run pain free!

I am writing to express my commendation regarding Tanner Carras. In December I was told that I needed complete knee replacement by my orthopedist, Dr. Linda Rassmussen. She said before my surgery I would be seeing a Physical Therapist. The next day I got a phone call from Tanner Crass. He told me we would be working on strengthening my knee for a better surgery outcome. He was correct, with each exercise I had less pain. I also started a diet specifically prescribed by Dr Rassmussen. ‘Less weight, easier surgery’. Tanner came and taught me specific exercises that would allow me to have more movement with less pain. After my surgery, I went to rehab to recuperate, but when I got home, the next day, Tanner was standing at my door. I knew when we started, I thought it would take a long time before I would be walking and climbing stairs without pain. Every time he came, Tanner would leave me with several exercises. He even video taped some so I would not forget each step, which was very helpful. As time passed by, I could see and feel how much I progressed. It wasn’t easy at first, but I could always hear him saying “Good job, Chris” That made me want to succeed, so with each ‘Good Job Chris’, I knew I wanted to follow his coaching because I knew I would be where I am today….walking a mile, and climbing up stairs. Only this time, without pain!. I highly recommend Tanner Crass. He is not only tops in his field, but he has a heart of gold. When anybody compliments me on my progress. I say, if it wasn’t for Tanner, I wouldn’t be where I am today!
